ABOUT ME
I am a Dutch-born American immigrant, currently based in New Mexico, US.
After earning a BFA in Jewelry & Metalsmithing at Massachusetts College
of Art & Design in 2016, I worked professionally as a woodworker in a fine art frame shop, and as a woodworking educator for children and young adults, for five years.
After an impactful trip to New Mexico in 2018, I decided to invest in a small, unfinished adobe home and the surrounding lot --- with the dream of someday creating a sometimes-studio, a "little castle" in The Land of Enchantment. In pursuit of this dream, I moved from Massachusetts to New Mexico with my partner and our polydactyl tabby cat in the summer of 2021. While moving across the country has presented many challenges, we have a cozy apartment, wonderful friends, and I find fulfillment teaching various sculpture classes to an afterschool program for elementary students in Albuquerque.
